On Wednesday, June 5th, we will hold the New Clergy Orientation at Legacy United Methodist Church where you will be provided with essential and valuable information for a successful start of your ministry in the Dakotas. The orientation training will go from Tuesday 1pm-5:30pm and resume Wednesday from 8:30am-Noon. Though the event is meant to be equal parts educational and inspirational, it is an essential opportunity for you to not only connect with each other but also with Conference staff and leadership. These individuals will be here to support you throughout your ministry by answering questions, providing training and tools, or to simply offer our prayers and encouragement that you are not alone in ministry.
Bishop Bruce Ough has set aside time in his schedule to be a part of our time together, and we will also offer team-building activities, as well as a chance to ask questions about Annual Conference, Commissioning, Ordination, etc. We encourage you to take time at this year’s Seminarians Retreat to be together as we begin to build relationships that will last throughout our vocational lives. We will begin by eating supper with the New Clergy group at Legacy UMC in Bismarck at 5:30pm on Tuesday, June 4. The Seminarians Retreat will continue that evening following supper at Legacy. We will come back together Wednesday, June 5, in the morning, and the retreat will conclude at lunchtime that day.
